You’ll get a warm welcome to the BusinessXchange when you join.
Membership entitles you and/or a colleague to attend any or all of the meetings each month in what ever location. I would encourage you to come along to as many as you can make if you are new to the networking circuit, to help members get to know you quickly. The sooner people get to know you, like you and trust you, the sooner you will grow your business through the BusinessXchange format.
Connect for Business Success a ‘get’ Networking workshop
During the course of the year, there will be a series of ‘get’ networking workshops. It is designed for those nervous of, or new to, the networking circuit but reminds and hones the skills of experienced networkers too. It is highly recommended that all BusinessXchange members attend at least once in the year.
All event bookings are taken through the Business-Scene site as it does have the best delegate list ever. However, to make it easier for members and guests to see what’s coming up next; all BusinessXchange meetings can be found on the Business Events tab on the website.
Feel free to use this Business Events link to invite your interested contacts to forthcoming BusinessXchange meetings. Guests are important to the continued success of BusinessXchange so for every guest, that you introduce, who subsequently becomes a member, you get an extra month’s membership as a big thank you from us.
Do make sure your Business-Scene profile is well written and up to date. This is so that members and guest attending can get a flavour of your business in advance of meeting you. It is good networking practice of course, to check out who you will be networking with.

BusinessXchange Members Directory
Because the Business-Scene profiles are so comprehensive, the members directory on the BusinessXchange website is fairly basic. It is primarily there for research purposes and will drive people interested, to your own website, or your LinkedIn profile if you prefer. If you need any information posted up there changed, please let me know by email with full details.
Your Pretty Good Tips on Facebook
Under the Pretty Good Tips tab you will find the link to the BusinessXchange Facebook page where all your pretty good tips are posted. I post these on a regular basis after each and every meeting so that fans are not deluged. Members are happy to share so feel free to ‘like’ this page for your daily PG Tips and comment as appropriate.
Please let me know if you have a Facebook Page and BusinessXchange will become a fan of it back.
BusinessXchange YouTube Channel
The BusinessXchange YouTube channel hosts the tea break video tip clip from the meetings. I am looking for members to volunteer to have their pretty good tips filmed.
Please let me know if you have a YouTube channel and BusinessXchange will subscribe to it.
Here, I post up press releases about your business. So if you have won a big contract, or you are moving to new premises, or you have a special birthday that you wish to celebrate or perhaps you are supporting a charity, then let me know. These are great news stories that are worth sharing, they are great for building your brand.
This resource is particularly useful if you are new to BusinessXchange to help others get to know you and what your business does so well.
For members only! This houses the back catalogue of presentations worth sharing from the last 8 years of brilliant BusinessXchange meetings. You need to use the password that has already been sent to you to access this. At the end of each meeting when I send out the summary, notes from the presentation will be added to this resource library. If you have something to add or to comment on please do – your activity will bring the resources to life.
Dorset BusinessXchange members group on LinkedIn
This is a closed group – open only to current and past members of the brilliant BusinessXchange. This is so we can keep the BusinessXchange ethos as an online learning and support network for business growth. The main discussion tab is there for posting and responding to wicked issues 24/7.
You can of course post promotional activity on this site, we ask you do that under the promotions tab.
If you write a Blog then post a link (RSS feed) to each post under the Jobs Tab. This is the BusinessXchange Blog Log. A directory of blogs written by members so that we can access each others knowledge and ‘get’ to know each other’s expertise that much sooner and easier.
One to one session
Finally, your membership entitles you to a one to one with me. This is so I can understand you, your business and your offer. This helps me recognise your unique position in the market place for signposting purposes. In addition, as an accredited business adviser I may be able to help you with some of those thorny issues you may have. Please contact me to arrange a convenient time for a coffee catch up.
Enjoy your membership. I look forward to welcoming you soon.
